About the Update
Hades II takes a big step forward with the following new features:
· Battle across the surface through an all-new Region where the gods themselves need your aid! Can you vanquish the deadly new Guardian? · Unlock the last of the Nocturnal Arms: Xinth, the Black Coat, a devastating new weapon with its own unique Aspects! · Spruce up the Crossroads with dozens of unlockable decorations and music tracks, adding a personal touch to your home between the realms! · Meet two new Allies! Gain their blessings, learn their secrets, and use their unique Keepsakes! · Bond with two new Animal Familiars, loyal companions who will serve you through thick and thin! · Feeling tough? Take on new Challenges, including new Vows for the Oath of the Unseen, and the mysterious new Moon Monument and Unseen Sigil! · Discover more of the story, with close to 2,500 new voice lines for the game's big, colorful cast!
This update also adds native support for Mac systems with Apple M1 or later, numerous quality-of-life improvements, plenty of new art and audio, and other little surprises we're excited for you to find!
How to Get the Update
The Olympic Update is a free, automatic download as part of the Early Access version of Hades II on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The complete Patch Notes are available on Steam, in the game client, in the form of a dramatic reading (see below), and in our official Discord, where you can join a welcoming community of Hades II players and Supergiant fans.
Development Progress
Our first Major Update introduces a third Region and Guardian to the Surface Route, bringing it closer to the Underworld route's level of completion. We've also added the game's sixth and final main weapon, and iterated on a number of key systems. But there's plenty more to come, and we can safely say that our next Major Update in Early Access will not be our last!
Once we're sure The Olympic Update has stabilized and we've addressed major feedback as much as possible, we'll then focus on these major initiatives: · Climactic Confrontation: What awaits further beyond the newly-added Region? Once we add that, we will consider the main structure of the Surface Route to be complete. · New Boons: Boons are integral to the experience of Hades II, so we have some more additions planned on this front. The Olympians deserve no less! · New Foes: We plan to add even more combat encounter variety. Having lots of exciting and varied encounters helps keep Hades II feeling fresh.
We are planning our next Major Update to launch sometime in early 2025, in a little less development time overall than The Olympic Update. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we press on!

Early Access has already been an invaluable and eye-opening experience for our team as we continue working to complete this game. As we move forward, we intend to keep making additions, changes, and improvements in an effort to create the biggest, most replayable, most feature-rich game we've made yet, and — most importantly — a worthy successor to the original Hades. We're very grateful that you've taken the time to play Hades II thus far, and hope you find it's getting closer to fulfilling its potential with the launch of The Olympic Update.
